This full Moon on November 30th, the evening before, Sunday, November 29th, 2020, is the earliest sunset of the year with a full Moon in the sky, making this the Child Moon!

I set the tripod out in the driveway and used my Nikkor 300mm f/4 with a 2x teleconverter to get this image. I don’t shoot many images of the moon or the stars, but there is a peacefulness to it I do enjoy the times I have. Other than the camera, lens, teleconverter and tripod – I also used a shutter release cable and found out quickly that I needed a faster release. Even at ISO 200 at f/11, the Moon is a lot brighter than it may seem, especially when its full.
